INTRO
F#m* | C#m | F#m* | C#m

VERSE1
(C#m) F#m* C#m
I don't have much money or a place to sleep
      F#m* C#m
I've found me some friends and been awake all week
   A* F#m
I crawl out and try and find my way home
   A* F#m
I beg for some change beside the pay phone

VERSE2
          F#m* C#m
I'm gonna take her away from this big bad world
     F#m* C#m
She calls me a dreamer, I call her my girl
     A* F#m
But she can't stand to see my face, no
                A* F#m
She said she's never had to look at such a waster
        E
But I dream

CHORUS
                    A
And as I'm walkin' away
                 Bm
She asks me to dance
                    C#m
I fall through the stars
                      D
She tells my this is my last chance
       A
As I dream
                Bm
For all of my friends
            C#m
Who fail to see
                            D
There's more to life than meetin' ends

BRIDGE
        Bm F#m
And I'm all on my own again
    Bm F#m
To face this world, afraid
           E
But she don't care

INTRO
F#m* | C#m | F#m* | C#m

VERSE3
(C#m) F#m* C#m
I scraped my feet down the street where we once were small
     F#m* C#m
The flats we used to hide in now don't seem so tall
         A* F#m
And I remember all the faces and the chases we had
          A* F#m
All the fights at night, the blacks and whites, the bluff from the step

VERSE4
         F#m* C#m
I take a look at my reflection and it don't look pleased
  F#m* C#m
I tell myself I'm precious then I jump to please
          A* F#m
She said 'Son, when's the last time you rested your head?
          A* F#m
Oh, your face will tell your frame is frail when you're lookin' dead
          E
Come with me'

CHORUS
                    A
And as I'm walkin' away
                 Bm
She asks me to dance
                    C#m
I fall through the stars
                      D
She tells my this is my last chance
       A
As I dream
                Bm
For all of my friends
            C#m
Who fail to see
                            D
There's more to life than meetin' ends

BRIDGE
        Bm F#m
And I'm all on my own again
    Bm F#m
To face this world, afraid
           E
But she don't care

BREAK
F#m* | F#m* | C#m | C#m | D | E |

OUTRO (a bit slower and more quiet, picking might be best here)
                    A
And as I'm walkin' away
                 Bm
She asks me to dance
                    C#m
I fall through the stars
                      D
She tells my this is my last chance
       A
As I dream
                Bm
For all of my friends
            C#m
Who fail to see
                            D A
There's more to life than meetin' ends... oh

=============================================================================

So this is it, really. When the break starts, Jamie seems to replace the
D and E with power chords, but I'm not too sure (and I suck at those because
of muting the lower strings still gives me a hard time...). You can try and
play the power chords, but I guess sticking to the barred D and E won't make
such a big difference.
