You can pretty much figure out the finger picking for yourself, I personally
like plucking the strings at "But neither you nor I'd been" and single
downstrokes at "sure ain't gonna hold you down." Also, I think in some
versions he holds the F at "Hills of Kentucky" for an extra measure. Enjoy!

C (x32010@1) FWell (133211@1)a robin flew by my window
C (x32010@1) GI (320003@1)thought it just might be you
CJudging (x32010@1)from the colour of its breast
FAnd (133211@1)the sound of its song
     C (x32010@1) G (320003@1) C (x32010@1)
But I'm just thinking of you

Cos you're in sunny California
The fertile land John Steinbeck wrote,
But when I came not a single fertile patch
Could be spared for you and me

F (133211@1) G (320003@1) CYou (x32010@1)see I wanted to love you baby
C (x32010@1) GBut (320003@1)neither you nor I'd been loved before
                    C (x32010@1) F (133211@1)
I thought I could change the world if I just held you high enough
             C (x32010@1) G (320003@1) CThe (x32010@1)truth is I couldn't hold you up at all

Am (x02210@1) G (320003@1)FI (133211@1)couldn't hold you up
            Am (x02210@1) G (320003@1)CI (x32010@1)couldn't hold you up
G (320003@1) CAnd (x32010@1)I sure ain't gonna hold you down
