Second time he says 'away' (from scratch away), you play this riff once then go to the chorus:

Then you go on with the Intro/Chorus part and you play the same thing for the bridge. Right at the end when he holds little, you can hear this, on that build up you play a power chord on the 3rd fret on the A string. And then you go back to the beginning of the chorus. And if you want to play it the way they do live this is how you do it, all Gavin does is repeatedly plays a power chord on the E string on the 5th fret, and he sometimes bends it up about 1/2 a step.
