Dmaj7 Em7 Gmaj7 Dmaj7

[Verse]

Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7
Please, tell me how you lift these heavy bricks
Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7And (xx0222@1)how you built this path for me to walk on.
            Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7
You carve yourself in stones with the strength of all convinced,
Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7But (xx0222@1)I know your skin is still as thin as mine.

[PreChorus]

Em7
What does it take to believe
A7In (x02020@1)all the things you believe?
Em7 A7And (x02020@1)maybe I need to listen more carefully.

[Chorus]

Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7 Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7I (xx0222@1)finally know how you stand against the worst there is.

[Verse]

Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7
You enjoy coffee and Debussy.
Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7I (xx0222@1)can't believe the calmness in your veins after everything.
              Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7
And when she dreams, she sees herself in her Sunday dress,
                 Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7Humming (xx0222@1)simple melodies, she's known since she was only three.

[PreChorus]

Dmaj7 (xx0222@1) Em7 Gmaj7 (xx5432@1) Dmaj7I (xx0222@1)finally found the strength you've tried to tell me about.

[Bridge]

Bm (x24432@1) Em7
Oh, even when the sky is crashing down,
Bm (x24432@1) A7You, (x02020@1)You locked your knees and stood up straight.
Bm (x24432@1) Em7
You are the strength inside my veins,
Bm (x24432@1) A7Oh, (x02020@1)I want to feel the strength you know.

[Ending(PreChorus)]

Em7
What does it take to believe
A7In (x02020@1)all the things you believe?
Em7 A7And (x02020@1)maybe I need to listen more carefully.

An easier way to play this song would be tunning down a half step and playing [Gmaj7 Am7
Gmaj7 for Verses and Chorus], [Am7 D7 for prechorus/end] and [Em Am7 Em D7 for bridge]
this way gives a better sound in my opinion.
