I believe the other tab out there had pretty much everything perfect, but the chord
progression listed can be a bit tricky for beginners.
I found that playing with a capo for this particular song is much much easier, and after
watching a live version of it, it seems this is how it was played anyway.

Capo: 5th fret

Intro:
Am (x02210@1) C (x32010@1) Dm (xx0231@1) F(2x) (133211@1)Am C Dm F (for this Am chord, I like strike it just once, and a bit harder to go
with the guitar riff, but not necessary)
Am (x02210@1) C (x32010@1) Dm (xx0231@1) F (133211@1)Verse: Same as intro
Am (x02210@1) C (x32010@1) Dm (xx0231@1) F (133211@1)Again, you can strum harder when the riff sounds, just for a bit of variation.

Bridge between these two lines:
Don't you know they're gonna' save my soul
(simply strum Am until the verse chord progression begins on the next line)
I can't hang around with you like this my friend

Chorus:

I set out to disappear
And out there I found a new home
But listen Jack, you're on the wrong side of the tracks
At least now I don't have to walk it all alone

Am (x02210@1) G (320003@1) F (133211@1) C (x32010@1)name="chord_022000@1">Em Dm (xx0231@1)
Am (x02210@1) G (320003@1) F (133211@1) C (x32010@1)name="chord_022000@1">Em E7 (020130@1)If you don't want to, or can't do a barred F, you can get away with playing it as such:
F1 (133211@1)(index)
1 (index)
2 (middle)
3 (ring)
