This is my first tab, please be kind. The original version on here I think was closer to
the original recording of the Rocky Horror Cast, but this version sounds closer to the
Glee soundtrack, and it's a slightly different range for those who can't sing the
original version (Like Myself.)

P.S: Makes a great busking song. Everyone knows the chorus.

Chords in brackets are optional. D chord in the verse (between Em and G) is only a
pass-through chord. It lasts about one upstroke (when I play) and just adds a little umf.

Capo 3

G Em (D)
Whatever happened to Saturday night,
G Em
when you dressed up sharp and you felt alright?
C D
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
C D
came into my life, I thought I was divine.

G Em (D)
I used to go for a ride with a chick who'd go,
G Em
and listen to the music on the radio,
C D
a saxophone was blowin' in a rock 'n roll show,
C D
Dsus4 / D
you climbed in the back seat, you really had a good time.

G Em (D)
My head used to swim from the perfume I smelled,
G Em
my hands kind of fumbled with her white plastic belt.
C D
I'd taste her baby pink lipstick and that's when I'd melt,
C D
and she'd whisper in my ear tonight she really was mine.

G Em
Get back in front, put some hair oil on,
G Em
Buddy Holly was singing his very last song,
C D
with your arms around your girl you'd try to sing along,
C D Dsus4 / D
it felt pretty good, woo, you really had a good time.

NOTE 1 - At the key change, if you don't want to play the bar chords and continue with
the basics, move up to capo 4 and continue to play the previous chorus chords. I have put
the bar chords here for people who don't want to move the capo mid-song.
