       A5 F#5 E5

Song in more detail:
Firstly, this is just an acoustic approximation of the song. Just the best way that I
have found to play it on a solo acoustic guitar. There are some 2nd guitar bits
in the second verse that are lovely and if you have a loop recorder you might fancy
going off on them whilst the melody continues, but I don't have a loop recorder so
I didn't bother working them out. The end bit, where they go off on one about
enchiladas, is a bit weird and ends with a fadeout which doesn't really work on a solo
acoustic. I made up my own way of playing it. Totally different, but it works much
better in the absence of production.
Please remember: this is never going to sound exactly like the recording but it's the
best way I've found to play it on a solo acoustic.
Play around with it, make it your own interpretation.

Standard tuning.

INTRO: Use your thumb to strum rapidly, but softly, up and down to create a tremulo
effect. Slide your left hand between the chords for the intro. Sounds crazy, but I
prefer it without barring the chords.
    E5 F5 G5 F5 E5 (repeat x4)
e---0---0---0---0---0---------- |
B---0---0---0---0---0---------- |
G---1---2---4---2---1---------- |
D---2---3---5---3---2---------- |
A---2---3---5---3---2---------- |
E---0---0---0---0---0-0--0-0-0- |

Whilst strumming the E you might like to use your left hand thumb to play the low
e-string (it kinda subsititutes for that bass/thump noise you can hear in the original recording).

VERSE: Play the "A" as the higher bar chord and, just before you transfer to the F#m ,
use your little finger to fret on and off the high e-string 7th fret (you'll work it out).

INSTRUMENTAL BIT (I play it like as follows but you can just leave it
out for simplicity)

A5 C#5 B5 E5
A5 F#5 (on 9th fret) E5

D5 B5 E5
Tijuana Lady where did you go? yeah well I...
D5 B5
I heard you lost your last sombrero,
D5 B5 E5

Tell me where'd you hide,
A5 F#5 E5
   Tell me where'd you hide.

[Now, either finish with another lovely D Bm chorusy type bit eg:
D5 B5
Tijuana Lady where did you go? Yeah,
       D5 B5
I been chasing you around ol' Mejico, yeah,
D5 B5 E5
Tijuana Lady let's take it slow, yeah well I..
D5 E5 A5
I'll keep you warm in my silky poncho.

OR....
try out my interpretation of the weird enchilda bit:]

   A5 F#5 E5 E5
... Tell me where'd you hide?
E5 B5
     Enchilda Desperado day,
E5 B5
Senorita come back and meet me again,
E5 B5
