Song: Texas 1947
Artist: Guy Clark
Transcribed by: T. Hickson

>From the album "Keepers" (track 2), a live album. I'm probably missing a
lot of the subtleties, but it's a nice, easy way to play it. Guy makes
the verses build as if a train is approaching and passing you by, but you
gotta hear it to make it work.

EmNow (022000@1)bein' six years old

BTrains (x2444x@1)are big and black and smokin',

B (x2444x@1) Emand (022000@1)we's all in the way.

    B (x2444x@1) Emwas (022000@1)rollin' down the line.

EmCuz (022000@1)things got real quiet,
GMomma (320003@1)jerked me back,
Anot (x02220@1)before I'd got the chance
         B (x2444x@1) Emto (022000@1)lay a nickel on the track.

CHORUS:

ELook (022100@1)out here she comes, she's comin',
ALook (x02220@1)out there she goes, she's gone,
Bscreamin' (x2444x@1)straight through Texas

ELook (022100@1)out here she comes, she's comin'
ALook (x02220@1)out there she goes, she's gone,
Bscreamin' (x2444x@1)straight through Texas
       A (x02220@1) Elike (022100@1)a mad dog cyclone.

Em...Lord, (022000@1)she never even stopped.
