Tabbed By : Asperse, bassist for DBS

Tuning:E,A,D,G

This is a most wonderful song played by an excellent band. Unfortunately none of the tabs so far seem to be
right. On the Alive at the red rocks DVD it seems to be played like this and this is the way I’ve always
played it and it has sounded like the original. Wondeful song hope u have fun playing it

Verse
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-10/7---7--7----7----------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------8---8-8---8-----3----3---3-0---0-0---0-----------------|
All way through verse it is played like this, play the 8 on the E string instead of the 3 on the A string as
this is the way Ben Kenny plays it on the “alive at the red rocks” DVD. Should b pretty simple to work out
the rhythm with practice, just listen closely to CD

CHORUS
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--7---7---7----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------8---8---8------3---3---3------0---0---0-------------------|
This sounds right though maybe 4 of each note, can’t be sure, the notes are right though. Play this all the
way through the chorus

INTERLUDE
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-2-2---2-2-2-2--2----2----3-3----3-3-3-3-3--3-3--2-2-2-2-2-----2-2---2-----|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
The pattern very hard to replicate here. Listen to the drums, play on every beat of the drum. The first part
is all 2s, then he alternates between 2s and 3s. This bit above is only rough because it so hard to replicate
the pattern, but 2s and 3s are the only notes in it so try and work it out

Please rate this tab. It is such a wonderful song, one of the best Incubus has done, and so nice to play on
bass so I had to tab it. Hope you have fun playing!
