not to dis the other tabs but they just weren't quite there. they sound good but seemed a little off.
This can be played with a capo almost anywhere including second fret or with out. some strings I
doubled up on could be played individually or with the underlying string played open. Use the pattern
from C to get into F and a couple spots that say G are brief. maybe even just the 3rd fret on the E
string. oh, last trick.... Play the picking hitting the strings close to the
back bridge sounds extremely
accurate. gives it that extra twang.

C?????????????????????????????????????????? G7
In a little cabaret in a South Texas border town
????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
Sat a boy and his guitar and the people came from all around
G7????????? C??????????????????? G7
And all the girls? from there to Austin
????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
Were slipping way from home and putting jewelry in hock
G7????????? C?????????????? G7
To take the trip? to go and listen
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
To the little dark haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box
???????????? F
And he would play
?
C???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? G7???
Well he couldn't ride or wrangle and he never cared to make a dime
????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
But give him his guitar and he'd be happy all the time
G7????????? C?????????????????? G7
And all the girls? from nine to ninety
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
We're snapping fingers tapping toes and begging him don't stop
G7???????? C???????????? G7
And hypnotized? and fascinated
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
By the little dark haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box
???????????? F
And he would play
?
???????????????????????????????????????????????? G7
Then one day he was gone and no one ever saw him around
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C
He vanished like the breeze they forgot him in the little town
G7????????? C????????????????????????? G7
But all the girls? still dreamed about him
???????????????????????????????????????????????? C
And hung around the cabaret until the doors were locked
G7?????????? C?????????????? G7
And then one day? on the Hit Parade
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? C?
Was a little dark haired boy who played the Tennessee flat top box
???????????? F
And he would play
