ok so this is a pritty ez song to play through out the song theres a bunch of
hammer ons and slideing. first the song is mostly C G D the intro is like ... C
the slide the C into the 3rd fret so that your index is in the 3rd fret but have
the same shape of an open C do the same with the G slide an open G so that you
have your middle on the 5th fret. and the D you should have your you ring finger
on the 5the and the other two in the 4th so if your an asshole and didn't get that
here you go.....
   C G D

C G D N/C---------------------C
She spent the night with me and we woke up in the backseat.
       G D A2 C G D
The windows were foggy so we wrote our names on the moisture in the rain.
    A2 C G D Slide the D
Surely this'll last forever cause we'll never grow old.

C G D (slide the D then back)C G
"I've got a thousand things to do tomorrow," she says. But it doesn't make
     D C G D
any difference. We'll stay up all night anyways. Cause that's what
             A2 D D
separates us from the ones sleeping gently in the graves... we're not
           A2
giving in tonight cause we were...

[Chorus:]
G C
Seventeen at three in the morning,
G C
I'm sure we'll still be up at dawn
G C .
And when the day breaks we'll be wide awake
G, C Start intro
Cause we won't be Seventeen for long. No not for long.

Maybe I should start the car and we can drive away,
But we'll never look back on this little old town.
It's a lot like Mayberry but without that catchy theme song to whistle in my head.
And all the people skippin' rocks are dead. Now you know they snort those rocks
instead. Yeah but the rain still pours and the moon still shines, the doors are
locked and we are inside learning to live for the first time... We were

[Chorus:]
Seventeen at three in the morning,
I'm sure we'll still be up at dawn.
And when the day breaks we'll be wide awake,
Cause we won't be Seventeen for long. No not for long( say 3x)

[Bridge:]you Can do C G A2 D for this just listen to the song...
But the rain still pours and the moon still shines, the doors are locked and we are
Inside. Yeah we're inside.
But the rain still pours and the moon still shines, the doors are locked and we are
Inside. Baby we're inside.

[Chorus:]
Seventeen at three in the morning,
I'm sure we'll still be up at dawn.
And when the day breaks we'll be miles away,
Running from where we belong cause we won't be Seventeen for long.
No not for long...
