Great American Sharpshooter
Less Than Jake

Ok, here's a great song from LTJ's fifth album Hello Rockview (an incredibly awesome
by the way.) Some of the syncopated rhythms the guitarist uses, like in the second verse,
instance, are a little tricky especially to sing and play at the same time- but it
fine played straight, too.

(solo gtr.)
Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5So (xx134x@1)you think of what it could've been
     Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) (band enters) Eb5When (xx134x@1)time is all you've lost it keeps burning through your head
              Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5(And (xx134x@1)now) you fall asleep standing but lie awake in bed
            Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5(Watch (xx134x@1)the) clock drag on and think about what you should've said

[Pre-Chorus]
Db5 (x133xx@4)name="chord_244xxx@1">Gb5 Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5Oh- (x133xx@4)It's for the better
Gb5 (244xxx@1) Ab5Your (133xxx@4)better half is gone.
Eb5 (////) Gb5 (////)
It's OK - You didn't need her anyway.

[Chorus]
    Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Eb5 (xx134x@1) Db5And (x133xx@4)I don't want to hear you say, "Nobody can take her place,"
Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Bb5 (x133xx@1) Db5Woah (x133xx@4)oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh
    Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Eb5 (xx134x@1) Db5And (x133xx@4)what more can I say? You don't need her anyway.
Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Bb5 (x133xx@1) Db5Woah (x133xx@4)oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh

Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5So (xx134x@1)you think of how it should've been
     Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5And (xx134x@1)"It's just over" Keeps going through your head.
         Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5(You're) (xx134x@1)hearing all those words time & time again
            Ab5 (133xxx@4) Db5 (x133xx@4) Ab5 (133xxx@4) Eb5(Watch (xx134x@1)the) phone all night and think about what you should've said

Well there it is. This is a pretty good song to cover if you want an awesome LTJ song
don't have any horns in your band, because there aren't any horns in the recording (as far
I can tell anyway.)

Have Fun,
Jon
