Thinking of You - Sister Sledge

Tabbed by Nocentelli

This should be played with a clean compressed guitar sound. Nile Rogers plays lots of
and left hand-muted chords with melodic flourishes a la Curtis Mayfield/Hendrix, but with
heavy emphasis on the rhythmn of piece.

I have not annotated any muting: You will need to listen to the song to pick up the feel
Nile's playing.

Please note, these chords are my interpretation of the overall arrangement of the
song, and should be approached as such.

Intro

    Gm (355333@1) Dm7 Eb (x43121@3) Bbmaj7 (x13231@1)
E--------13>10---------------------------------------|
B---------------------------------------------6------|
G-----------------------12>10---(8)-----8-----7------|
D---10>12---------10---(10)------8------8-----7------|
A---10------------10>12-12-------8>10---------8------|
E----------------------------------------------------|

    Gm (355333@1) Dm7 Eb (x43121@3) Bbmaj7 (x13231@1)
E--------13>10--------------------------------10-------|
B---------------------------------------------10-------|
G-----------------------12>10---(8)-----8-----10-------|
D---10>12---------10---(10)------8------8-----8--------|
A---10------------10>12-12-------8>10------------------|
E------------------------------------------------------|

Repeat a few times, then do this a few times (this is also the chorus)

    Ebmaj7 (x43111@3) Bbmaj7 (x13231@1) Ebmaj7 (x43111@3) Bbmaj7 (x13231@1)
E------------------------------------------------10------|
B---8-------8--------6-----------8-----8---------10------|
G---7-------7--------7-----------7-----7---------10------|
D---8-------8--------7-----------8-----8---------8-------|
A---6-------6--------8-----------6-----6-----------------|
E--------------------6-----------------------------------|

The verse is the intro riff, cycled around with variations, and ending
with a turnaround thus:

    Cm7 F (133211@1) Bbmaj7 (x13231@1)
E--------------------------------------------------------|
B---8-------10-------6-----------------------------------|
G---8-------10-------7-----------------------------------|
D---8-------10-------7-----------------------------------|
A---10------8--------8-----------------------------------|
E---8----------------6-----------------------------------|

...have fun!
