Song : Eulogy
Band : Tool
Album : Aenima
Tuning : Dropped-D (D A D G B E)
TAB : Mike Eheler (mikeeheler@hotmail.com)

The song begins with a tapping sound. You can kind of emulate this sound by
tapping your pick on the tremelo system on your guitar. Then something kicks
in.. I've been told that it's created by Maynard doing something with his voice
and a megaphone, but I've been able to do it by just doing hammer-ons.
Anyways.. here is that part.. enjoy!

e:-----------------------------------------------------------------:

d:-------------------------------------------------------5-5-------:
a:-----------------------------------------------------------------:
d:-----------------------------------------------------------------:

Then you just do various rhythms only playing the g:-4-: note then
when you play the straight same-note riff @ about 1:47 bend the string
slighly while doing hammer-on. Want to know how I do this? I push down on
the string behind the neck bridge, like in Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"

Anyways, here's the rest of the song... all 8 1/2 minutes of it.

This next part requires some creative pick-scraping on your part in certain
areas. :) Also if you wanna do that reall kinda dark deep sound, just play the
D5 (0 0 0 - - -) real soft. Oh ya and I'm not gonna count all the times he does
these.. Just play it. :)

For this solo-type thing, just play these two notes:

g:-7-9-: x20 (roughly)

and play with your pick and thumb in the same motion to generate some random
pinch harmonics, then for the next part, using the same picking style:

Well that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed the TAB and the song.

It's the first tool tab I've done.. the next I think will be stinkfist.

I picked up Aenima the other day and couldn't believe how much these guys
rock, so I just had to do this. :) Anyways if you like it or whatever and
you want to see some of my other work, just email me @ mikeeheler@hotmail.com.

Until next time,
    Mike
