I make no guarrante as to the accuracy, but it sounds pretty close when I play along with the song. Please E-Mail/Post me any corrections.... The basic riff: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ G (320003@1) D (xx0232@1) Am (x02210@1)C (x32010@1)--1--1--1--2--2----3-2-------------------------------------------| --0--0--0--3--3----3-3----1-----1--------------------------------| --0--0--0--2--2----2-2----2-----0------------0-0-2-0----0--------| --------------------------2-----2---------2-----------2---0------| ------------------------------3-------3--------------------------| -----------------------------------------------------------------| A slight variation on the above ending: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ C (x32010@1)---------------------------------| ---------------------------------| --------0-0-2-0------------------| -----2----------2-0--------------| --3------------------------------| ---------------------------------| Bridge: ~~~~~~~ I know this is not correct, but it is the basic notes. In reality he shifts his hand positions up the neck as he plays it, and ends up with a F-major bar chord on the 5th fret. C (x32010@1) G (320003@1) Dm (xx0231@1)----------------------------------1-----| --------1-----------------------3-------| ------0------------------2----2---------| ----2-----------------------------------| --3---------------2---3-----3-----------| --------------3-------------------------| Solo: ~~~~~ I don't have the solo completely worked out, but the basic chords on the intro are the F-major (5 5 7 5 6 5 ) and G-major (7 7 9 7 8 7) bar chords on the 5th and 7th frets respectively. After the bridge, the solo starts out like this: F (133211@1)---------------------------------------------| ------6------6------6------------------------| ---------------------------------------------| ---7------7------7---------------------------| etc..... ---------------------------------------------| ---------------------------------------------| Really snap the F on the B-string. This leads into a rhythm pattern with the G and F bar chords and a little riff that goes kind of like this: -------------------------------------------------------| -------------------------------------6-6-6---6/7-------| ------------5-5-5---7-------5---7----------------------| repeat ----5---7----------------------------------------------| as -------------------------------------------------------| necessary -------------------------------------------------------| I'm not really sure on the rest of the solo.... If anyone else can decipher it and post it, I'd appreciate it...... I know it's just some basic chords but I can't get it to sound just right. I've been using a combination of the following chords: x x x 7 8 10 x x x 7 8 7 x x x 7 8 8 x x x x 8 7 x x x x 7 5 x x x x 5 3 x x x x 10 8 x x x x 12 10 x x x x 15 15 I know there is more to it though.... That's what I've come up with.... Any comments, questions, or corrections are welcome.... Paul J. Michell PMICHELL@VAX1.UMKC.EDU
