I tried all the different versions but I found none of them completely satisfying. I would basically play the verse like the version 3 but I would switch the chords for the chorus, a bit like in version 4 but not with the same sequence. Anyway I don't pretend to offer the right version but just the one that sounds good to me: &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Capo on the 2nd fret Am C Throw me in a landfill Fmaj7/C G Don't think about the consequences Am C Throw me in a dark pit Fmaj7/C G Don't think about the choices that you made Am C Throw me in the water Fmaj7/C G Don't think about the splash I will create Am C Leave me at the altar Fmaj7/C G Knowing all the things you've just escaped Am C Push me out to sea Fmaj7/C G On a little boat that you made Am C Of the evergreen Fmaj7/C G That you helped your father cut away Am C Leave me on the tracks Fmaj7/C G To wait until the morning train arrives Am C Don't you dare look back Fmaj7/C G Walk away catch up with the sun rise Am Fmaj7/C C G Cause this is torturous Am Fmaj7/C C G Electricity between both of us Am Fmaj7/C C G and this is dangerous Am Fmaj7/C Cause I want you so much C G But I hate your guts, I hate you Am C Leave me in the cold Fmaj7/C G Wait until the snow covers me up Am C So I cannot move; Fmaj7/C G So I'm just embedded in the frost Am C Leave me in the rain Fmaj7/C G Wait until my clothes cling to my frame Am C Wipe away your tear stains Fmaj7/C G I thought you said you didn't feel the pain Am Fmaj7/C C G Cause this is torturous Am Fmaj7/C C G Electricity between both of us Am Fmaj7/C C G and this is dangerous Am Fmaj7/C Cause I want you so much C G But I hate your guts, I hate you Am Fmaj7/C Cause I want you so much C G But I hate your guts Am Fmaj7/C C G Cause this is torturous Am Fmaj7/C C G Electricity between both of us Am Fmaj7/C C G and this is dangerous Am Fmaj7/C Cause I want you so much C G But I hate your guts, I hate you Am Fmaj7/C Cause I want you so much C G But I hate your guts &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& I just basically rearranged the version 3 by changing the chorus chords sequence from Am C Fmaj7/C G to Am Fmaj7/C C G You can notice this sequence especially on the second part of the chorus where it is much easier to hear the guitar. For the chorus I let Fmaj7/C though we can hardly hear the 7th. I thought it might help. Anyway, amazing song which beauty lies in its simplicity.
