The Highwayman (Loreena Mckennitt) Tabbed by Andrew MacNaughton -- amacnaughton85@hotmail.com Notes: This is a beautiful song, and obviously involves several instruments; here is "my" version of the guitar part. I use the Travis picking technique, since I think it suits the rythm of the song and sounds fairly close to the actual song itself. Basically I wanted to learn this song, and couldn't find a version I liked online, so after playing Dust in the Wind (which uses the same picking technique), decided that the picking technique for that song would suit this one, so I figured out the chords (very basic ones), and applied the technique. It remains the same throughout the song, though you can vary the bass line, the pattern of the picking, and the hammer-ons, etc. to improve/spice up the song. This is my first tabbing project, and I'm unaware of whether other tabbers use software to tab, but I just used notepad (hopefully the format turns out!), so it took a while writing it all out and copying and pasting! I'd appreciate any feedback on my first tab. Also, I'm not quite up to scratch on theory, so the measures/bars are probably not accurate. Sounds like a 4/4 beat to me, but as I said, I'm kind of rusty when it comes to theory...
