Mahavishnu Orchestra – The Dance of Maya

This is Mahavishnu Orchestra's The Dance of Maya from their debut album, the Inner
Flame. I have noticed that there is not a good tab of this song available on the net, so I
to figure it out for myself and share it for those who wish to learn this song. I have
tabbed the strange guitar part that is prevailent throughout the first 2 minutes. I have
tabbed either the guitar, keyboard or violin solos, which i may or may not get around
In the time being, i have tabbed all the way to the familiar bluesy part at around 2:30
in. I am 100% certain that it is completely accurate except for the descending chords
occur during the climax after the intense build up of McLaughin's guitar. These
seem to work out fine, but if you think there is something wrong, don't hesitate to let

and neat, and I am not about to spend a good chunk of time retabbing it all using the
template when I can just paste it. If it doesn't look presentable however, email me
I can give you my Microsoft Word version which looks fine. You can also paste this into
own Microsoft Word. Andale Mono is a good text for guitar tabs, and that is what I used.
bars are not intended to represent real bars in the music, i just put them in to better

solos contained during this bluesy part are not tabbed, sorry for the disappointment.
