I've been having a little problem recently Bb A Dm Which is quite disturbing musically Bb A Dm Involving a semi-tonal discrepancy Bb A Dm Vocally and Instrumentally Gm A You see musicians of different varieties Bb A Dm Prefer playing in particular keys Bb A Dm And singers too treat preferentially Bb A Dm Those notes they tackle more proficiently Gm A Now, you, don't have to be a member of MENSA Bb A Dm To understand the depth of my dilemma Gm A The two elements of me favour two different keys Bb Dm Gm Dm Thus the rift between my fingers and my Tenor I love nothing more than playing songs in F Bb F It warms the very cockles of my heart Gm A The problem is that F can leave me vocally bereft, you see Bb F I like playing in F Major, but I like singing in... E7 A7 F Sharp.... F Sharp.... F Sharp... Dm Dm Dm I refuse to be beholden to my hands Bb F I don't see why my Larynx should give in to their demand Gm A I will not be forced to compromise my art Bb F So I'll keep playing in F Major, and singing in...
