I play it with capo 3 instead, which have the following chord translations: Eb = C Cm = Am Ab = F Bb = G This also allows me to do the picking instead if I want it to sound like the original instead of just chords. Using open chords on capo 3, I just pick A and D strings back and forth for the C and the Am and the E and A strings for the F (barred) and G. Something like this: D|---5---5---5---5---5--| A|-6---6---6---6---6----| E|----------------------| ...continue until chord change D|---5---5---5---5---5--| A|-3---3---3---3---3----| E|----------------------| ...continue D|----------------------| A|---6---6---6---6---6--| E|-4---4---4---4---4----| ...continue D|----------------------| E|---5---5---5---5---5--| E|-6---6---6---6---6----| ...continue I did this fast, so please let me know if I typed it up wrong. And sorry for the lack of apostrophes--UG does not like them. --Adam ---------------------------------- The Precipice by The Classic Crime From Phoenix ---------------------------------- Verse 1: Eb I wish I could play the violin Cm Id play til tears rolled down your cheek and chin Ab And if you sang along Bb Eb We could write the saddest song Verse 2: Eb Sometimes I indulge my every whim Cm And piece-by-piece I build the cell Im in Ab But I only stay here long Bb Eb enough to write the saddest song Chorus: Cm Eb I dreamt I stood on a hill that I wished was a mountain Cm Eb To look back on all my accomplishments Cm Eb Well they must have been small because I couldnt seem to find them Ab Bb Eb so I took a leap off of the precipice Verse 3: Eb I wish I could play piano well Cm Id hit the keys that make your spirit swell Ab And if you sang along Bb Eb We could write the saddest song *Repeat Chorus* Bridge: Eb Whatever the cost Whether it works out or not Cm Whatever the cost Whether it works out or not Ab Ill follow you Bb Eb Ill follow you with my heart *Repeat Bridge* *Chorus is repeated here a cappella.
