For example, the notation Ab-G means that the Ab note is a short leading note into G. Pattern 3: G|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------| D|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|----13-------|-13----------| A|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|----16-------| E|-16----------|-16-15-------|-13----------|-11----------|-11----------|-------------| G|-------------| D|-------------| A|-16----------| E|----16-------| Pattern 4: G|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ D|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A|-15---16-------------------17--------17----15------------------------17--------17--- E|-----------11---------11-----------------------------16---------11------------------ G|------------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------------| A|-15--------13-----------------------------| E|----------------------11--------16--------| Pattern 5: G|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------| D|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|----13-------|-13----------| A|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|----16-------| E|-16----------|-16-15-------|-15-13-------|-13-11-------|-11----------|-------------| G|-------------| D|-------------| A|-16----------| E|----16-------| Otherwise, Mike uses both bass and bass pedals (such as the Moog Taurus). It is not always easy to hear how he plays the notes (bass alone, bass pedal, both or a bass through some effect box) but we think that: Pattern 1 is on the bass pedal. Pattern 2 is on the bass alone, patterns 3 & 5 uses both bass and bass pedal. Pattern 4 is on the bass pedal. Anyway, it is a beautiful song which not many know about. I've looked for the bass tabs all over, but with no success! So thanks to Kevin Chow with the help of figuring out this song. The notes might not be perfect, but I think the essence of the bass line is there. I welcome comments!
