Tom has a patch on one of his guitars, which is specially designed to emulate the sound of tapping the lead against the bridge with a wah pedal (as done in the testify solo) when you tap your finger on it. It has a pretty unique sound, but you can get pretty close with just the wah and jack plug if you wanna play the solo. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the solo is double tracked. The second guitar is just constantly bending a G back and forth with the whammy bar (I think).
