I met somebody and they cry for you... They lie awake at nite and dream of you I bet you never even know they do But, somebody's crying .... I know somebody and they call your name... A million times but still you never came.... They go on loving you just the same... I know that somebody's trying.... So please return the look you took from me... Oh please you let me know if it can't be me... I'll know that somebody's lying... I know that somebody's lying... I know that somebody's lying... Give me a sign and let me know we're thru... If you don't love me like I love you... But if you cry at nite the way I do I'll know that somebody's lying... So please return the look you took from me... Oh please you let me know if it can't be me... I'll know that somebody's lying... From: Albert Lozoya I don't have a tablature program so I'll just give you the chords and maybe you can figure it out yourself. Somebody's Crying Capo on 2nd fret C Am F C -------------------------------------------------------------- ('v')Jonathan Lozoya ag331rgfn.epcc.edu El Paso , TX. /'~'---------------------------------------------------------- From: Athyra Somebody's Crying - Chris Isaak transcribed by Cliff Hicks Here's how i think it goes... C Am F G ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- -------1-----1-------2-------0------------------ ----2------2------3-------0--------------------- -3-------0-----3---------------------------------- -------------------------3-------------------------- It won't sound exactly like the recording unless your on a twelve string (which is how I transcribed it) so don't worry about it. ~Cliff From: Unknown@.MISSING-HOST-NAME. The chords are: F Dm Bb F (repeated through verse) then: F Bb F Bb through the chorus ("so, please...") I think the posting from 'Albert Lozoya' showing the 'C-Am-F-C' progression using a capo might be easier to play, but if my ears aren't deceiving me, I hear it in 'F'. Either way, it ain't too tough! Keep on strummin'! There seems to be some discussion over Chris Isaak's Somebody's Crying. The way Isaak himself plays it is F Dm Bb F in the verse and F Bb F Bb for the chorus. That's they way he played it on live TV when over here (Australia) recently anyway. The intro is just F Dm played slowly. The F, Dm and Bb are barre chords while Dm is open. A bit tricky to play at first. What I would like is the lead riff/instrumental played in the chorus. It doesn't sound very complex (3-4 notes) but I can't seem to get it.
