There is freedom within, there is freedom without Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost But you'll never see the end of the road While you're traveling with me Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won't win Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof In the paper today, tales of war and of waste But you turn right over to the TV page Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won't win Now I'm walking again to the beat of a drum And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart Only shadows ahead, barely clearing the roof Get to know the feeling of liberation and release Hey now, hey now Don't dream it's over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won't win Well, don't let them win Hey now, hey now Don't let them win Don't let them win, yeah --------------------- HOPE YOU LIKE THIS!!!! I did this without any other reference.. because I wasn't satisfied with what I found for reference when I first went about learning this. I felt inspired to learn this song when my nephew Darius passed away.. I always thought this song was perfect for encouraging people who need hope. I wanted to find comfort in learning it.. but sorry to all those who have posted so far.. it just hasn't been close enough for me... or just lacked enough feeling. It's a gorgeous song. I did minor embellishments in the chorus.. a slight bit.. I just colored it a bit more.. and I definitely covered a lot more than I found when I tabbed this out. Just my interpretation.. I hope you find it useful.. Also... I play a lot of 12 string dropped a step in D. I will try to make most my tabs with both.. but I want to build a network of other 12 stringers out there.. especially that appreciate the extra stuff the D tuning offers. Any comments whatsoever.. don't hesitate.. . I will never take offense to comments or suggestions.. I do this to try to help others and myself play better and have more fun. I'm not saying I'm 100% right.. I think I figured that part out, then I had some more fun with it using a few embellishments. but I like this better than anything else I've seen. And if you haven't figured it out yet.. No tab.. absolutely no tab.. is 100% right. I'm sure any artist would appreciate any new interpretation rather than being stolen from or carbon copied anyway.. But it's actually pretty dang close.
