So this is one of my favorite Carrie songs EVER but there's no chords for it anywhere. So I figured out my own acoustic version of it. Anyway, since the songs is like, ALL piano, it doesn't translate well to guitar, so this isn't supposed sound exactly like the REAL song...it's just an acoustic version. If you want the long ending (like in the song), it's just the intro repeating itself, just be creative with it. (: To get the timing and strumming right just listen to the song, it's pretty easy to figure out. Also, it's supposed to be capo on 4th, but I personally think it sounds better on the 3rd...I prefer singing it that way at least. Capo on 4th Intro: [once each] F C Em Am [strum] F C Em Am F C Em Am All the raindrops in the sky tonight F C Em Am F Can't compare with all the pain and all the tears I've cried F C G [once] But now I'm done F C Em Am All the make-believe locked in this picture frame F C Em Am F Is gonna stay behind along with all the burning rage F C G That's been tearing through my heart F C G Killing me slowly, every beat I was falling apart F Sometimes you give C Sometimes they take G Sometimes you bend F Em Am And sometimes they break you down Em Am Sometimes you stick around trying to change them, F Am [once] Make them someone that they'll never be [No chord] F C Em Am And sometimes you leave F C Em Am All this time I've spent staring at the door F C Am F I never had the strength to pack my bags and leave before F C G But now I'm done F C G Lying to myself when it's clear that you're not the one F Sometimes you give C Sometimes they take G Sometimes you bend F Em Am And sometimes they break you down Em Am Sometimes you stick around trying to change them, F Am Make them someone that they'll never be C And sometimes you leave G Em Am C When there's nothing left for me to leave behind G Em Am C G And you're already too far gone to say goodbye F [once] Sometimes you give C [once] Sometimes they take G [once] Sometimes you bend F [once] Em [once] Am [strum] And sometimes they break you down Em Am Sometimes you stick around trying to change them, F Am [once] Make them someone that they'll never be Em [once] And sometimes you leave [no chord] F C Em Am Sometimes you leave F C Em Am [once]
