Class song by an Irish musician called Bribry (Brian OReilly). Check him out on Youtube.
I don't know if this is exactly how he plays it, but I find it works well enough for me.
Stick a capo on about the 7th fret, depending on how high/low you sing.
Standard tuning
Tab:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------0-------------|
-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2------3----------3-----(2)|
-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2--------------------------|
---------------------------------------------------------------------------0-----0-----0-----(0)--|
--0-----0-----0-----0-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
--------------------------2-----2-----2-----2-----0-----0-----0-----0-----------------------------|

This refrain repeats throughout the song and its as simple as that =) The last two notes
in brackets don't necessarily have to be played but I find it keeps the rhythm going
before starting at the beginning of the refrain again.

If you feeling like changing it up a little, I sometimes play this in chorus instead of
the above:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-|
-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-|
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
--0-----0-----0-----0-----2-----2-----2-----2----------------------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------------------2-----2-----2-----2-----0-----0-----0-----0----|

Lyrics:
I've been writing love songs for as long as I know
But now I'm finally speechless, you've shut me up
And failure's not an option this time
I can see my mother's face, she's sick of break up stuff
Every kiss feels like the first
Each goodbye like the last
Well I don't remember doing selfless good deeds
How else would I deserve you?

Hopeless romantic since the day I was born
But now all the roses are finally justified
And cautious move I will do nothing wrong
And if this doesn't work at least this time I tried
Every kiss feels like the first
Each goodbye like the last
Well I don't remember saving someone's life
How else would I deserve you?
