He just plays the intro once and then plays the chorus and repeats it through the whole song
to get an example of the strumming and somewhat of the rhythm I will give you the number of times 
each chord is played for the drop d version

I think the e version sounds much better but the d version sounds pretty good except
it's hard to get that 4th fret barre chord in the intro to sound right, if anyone 
can think of a better way to play that chord in drop d please email me.
