- Alternate picking strokes are shown below each tab staff as down/up, abbreviated d/u.
    Underscores represent silent strokes or letting a hammer on / pull off / slide do 
its job.
- Vertical lines of x's mean strumming on muted strings to create a clicky noise.
- Vertical lines of asterisk stars * next to a chord means you play it staccato.
    In other words, cut it short, don't let it ring out. Either lift up your chording 
fingers slightly,
    or use your strumming hand's palm to touch the strings and stop them from sounding.
