F# C
You come in cold
                  B
You're covered in blood
               G#
They're all so happy you've arrived

With no destination

We all end up the same

Chorus:

B C# F# E
These are the chronicles of life and death and everything between

These are the stories of our lives as fictional as they may seem
B C# F# E
You come in this world, and you go out just the same
B C# F#
Today could be the best day of your life

Repeat Verse:

And money talks, in this world that's what idiots will say
but you'll find out, that this world is just an idiot's parade
Before you go
You've got some questions that you want answered
But now your old, cold, covered in blood
And right back to where you started from

Repeat Chorus

This is one of my favourite songs on this album and it is mad to play. The solo took a
while to figure out and I'm 100% sure it is perfect. Enjoy! Gt.1 & 2 play the same
thing all the way through except the verse and solo which only Gt.1 (Billy) plays.

Artist: Good Charlotte
Song: I Just Wanna Live
Album: The Chronicles Of Life And Death

email: thesongwriter@gmail.com

this is the best song on the new GC CD! this is just a transcription of the chords
used by the strings, guitar, and vocals...good for playing on acoustic guitar by yourself.

all are best as power chords:
  A# G# F#
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
----------------------------
---8----6----4--------------
---8----6----4--------------
---6----4----2--------------

INTRO:

A# - G# - F# - G# (2x)

VERSE 1:
          A# G# F#
I need an alarm system in my house
     G# A# G#
So I know when people are creeping about
                F# G#
These people are freakin' me out
A# G# F# G#
It's getting hectic everywhere that I go
                A# G#
They won't just leave me alone
                    F# G#
There's things they all wanna know
A# G#
I'm paranoid about the people I meet
             F#
Why are they talkin' to me?
              G#
And why can't anyone see

CHORUS:
             A# G# F#
I just wanna live
             G# A# G# F#
Don't really care about the things that they say
             G# A# G# F#
Don't really care about what happens to me
G# A# G#
I just wanna live (Just wanna live
            F# G# A#
Just wanna live just wanna live just wanna live)
           A# A# D# C C#
Just wanna live just wanna live

VERSE 2:
       A# G# F#
I rock a lawsuit when I'm going to court
        G# A#
A white suit when I'm gettin' divorced
        G# F#
A black suit at the funeral home
                G#
And my birthday suit when I'm home alone
A# G#
Talkin' on the phone
               F# G#
Got an interview with the rolling stone
                A# G#
They're saying "Now you're rich and now you're famous
    F# G#
And fake ass girls all know your names and
A#
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
    G#
Was your first hit aren't you ashamed?
F#
Of the life of the life
G#
Of the life we're livin'

REPEAT CHORUS (at the end hit F four times instead of the whole "just wanna live" part)

VERSE 3: (Same chords)

Stop your messin' around boy
Better think of your future
Better make some good plans boy
Said everyone of my teachers
Lookout, you better play it safe
You never know what hard times will come your way
We say where we're coming from
We've already seen
The wealth that this life can bring
Now we're expected everywhere that we go
All the things that they say
Yeah we already know

REPEAT CHORUS

End on F

Good Charlotte - The Truth
Standard Tuning

Verse

                F#
so here we are
              C#
we are alone
                                  F#
there's weight on your mind
                C#
I wanna know
          Gm F#
the truth if this is how you feel
            Gm
say it to me
                       F#
if this was ever real

Chorus

                    F# Gm
I want the truth, from you.
                 F# C#
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.
                 F# Gm
I want the truth, from you.
                F# C#
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.

I want the truth, so this is you
you're talking to me
you found a million ways to let me down
so im not hurt when you're not around
I was blind
but now I see
this is how you feel
just say it to me
if this was ever real

I want the truth, from you.
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.
I want the truth, from you.
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.

I know that this will break me
I know that this might make me cry
you gotta say what's on your mind,
on your mind
I know that this will hurt
break my heart and soul inside
I don't wanna live this lie

I want the truth, from you.
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.
I want the truth, from you.
give me the truth, even if it hurts me.
I don't care no more no
just give me the truth, give me the truth,
cause I don't care no more
give me the truth,
cause I don't care no more, no
give me the truth,
give me the truth,
give me the truth,
give me the truth,
give me the truth,
cause I don't care no more, no

Good Charlotte - Falling Away

Feel free to send me questions or comments at gothegoatee@sbcglobal.net
Tuning: 1/8 step above standard tuning
Key: C#

I have two versions of the intro. They both sound the same, the fingering is the only
difference. So whichever one works better for you is just fine, they are interchangeable.

Intro (version 1) Play this two times
Only play the (4) on the repeat
e|------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------|
A|--6-8-9-8-6-8--6-8-9-8-6-4---6-8-9-8-6-9--8-6-4-3-(4)-|
E|------------------------------------------------------|

or you can use...

Intro (version 2) Play this two times
Only play the (9) on the repeat
e|------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------|
A|--6-8-9-8-6-8--6-8-9-8-6----6-8-9-8-6-9--8-6----------|
E|-------------------------9-------------------9-8-(9)--|

You can decide for yourself where you want to put the slides/hammer-ons/pull-offs in
the intro, it really doesn't matter that much.

Chorus:
For the melody guitar, just play the intro over the vocals, you can hear where it goes.

As for the chords...

I feel you falling away, I feel you falling away,
e|------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-6----------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-6-------------------------------4--------------------------------|
A|-4-------------------------------4--------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------2--------------------------------|

I feel you falling away from me again...
e|--------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------|
G|-6------------------------------------------|
D|-6-------------------------------6----------|
A|-4-------------------------------6----------|
E|---------------------------------4----------|

Part just after 2nd chorus run: (1:56 - 2:10) Melody

If we can make this... Then we can break it...
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--8-6-4-6-8--6---------------------------8-6-4-6-8--4-----------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

If we can build it... Then we can burn it down...
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--8-6-4-6-8--6---------------------8-6-4-6-8--4-----------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

Chords to this part:
If we can make this... Then we can break it...
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--8\6\4/6-8--6---------------------------8\6\4/6-8--4-----------------|
A|--8\6\4/6-8--6---------------------------8\6\4/6-8--4-----------------|
E|--x\x\x/x-x--x---------------------------x\x\x/x-x--x-----------------|

The above chords part gets played two times through obviously. Just follow the lead
guitar with it and you'll be good to go. You don't have to mute the low E string if
you don't want. In that case you could use the standard power chords, Drop-D power
chords, or you could even tune the low E-string 1/8 step above C# and have a nice
low root bass always there. I'd recommend the third out of those three, then for the
rest of the chords in the song you could just leave the low E string open and explore
some different chord voicings.

Chorus at key change: (Key is now a full step up to D#)
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--8-10-11-10-8-10--8-10-11-10-8----8-10-11-10-8-11--10-8--------------|
E|-------------------------------11-----------------------11-10-(11)----|

Obviusly you'd just play the same chords for the chorus as before, just two frets up
then before.

Since a synthesizer or something like that backs the verses and not guitar, you really
can't do much guitar over them anyway except for once you hear them come in with the
guitars themselves. Here's the best I've got so far...

Verse 1:

And tonight we burn down everything, We worked so hard to build...
e|------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------6---------------------|
D|------4------------------6------------------6---------------------|
A|------4------------------6------------------4---------------------|
E|------2------------------4----------------------------------------|

The ashes will rain down on me, memories set aflame sail away...
e|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----6---------------------------------------------------------------6-|
D|----6---------------------------------4---------------6-------------6-|
A|----4---------------------------------4---------------6-------------4-|
E|--------------------------------------2---------------4---------------|

What we said, if we can make this, than we can break this into two memories
e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------6--------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------6-----------------------------------------------------4------6-|
A|-----------4-----------------------------------------------------4------6-|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------------2------4-|

All of the verses follow that same formula so that covers all the verses. I tried to
line up the syllables with the timing, but ultimately you're better off listening to
them for yourself. Same with the chords, I only put where the chord change goes because
I don't want to put a gazillion chords to confuse you when you'll just have to end up
figuring it out yourself anyway. I would probably use either a light palm muted strum
or a harmonic melody in an alternate tuning when the synthesizer takes over and I'd
recommend a combination of reverb, delay, and no distortion.

Hopefully I'll have the full plain chord version of this song up soon ^_^
