			     MISREAD - Kings of Convenience
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Tabbed by: lozenger

 TUNING: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb (both Guitars)

 What a great tune! I was sad to see there is no correct tab for
 this anywhere on the internet - when I heard it the first thing
 I wanted to do was to get playing it! This is how I do it,
 though I'm not sure how correct it is.

 The chords used in this song, besides being very cool, are all
 subtly different from their roots. So to make this tab simpler,
 I'm going to use simple chord names to mark more complicated
 chord shapes - so! When you see these written for Guitar I,
 these chord shapes below are what you need to be playing! I'll
 tab out some of the more fiddly bits later.

 Also, the whole song is played with a 4/4 rhythm, and Guitar I
 needs to mute the strings on the off beat and slam the strings
 with the right hand, whether you're strumming or picking!

 IMPORTANT!: these are the chords that guitar 1 plays, at least,
 these are what I use for this song:

      D (xx0232@1) Am7Am7/E (x02010@1) Em*  Dm7  G (320003@1) G*  G** F (133211@1)Cmaj7 (x32000@1)Em (022000@1) e||----------------------------------------------------||

 E||--10---5---0-----12---10---3---3---3---1---8--------||

 Ok, on to the song! For the intro, guitar one (the chords above the tab)
 and guitar two (the tab) plays this:

 I.       x      Am (x02210@1)                 Am/E (x02210@1) Am (x02210@1) II. e||-----------------------------------------------------------||

     A||--14------(14)-------------10--------(10)-----10------||
     E||------------------------------------------------------||

 It looks tough, I know, but it isn't really! Just use some sweep or
 fast-ish picking to play Guitar II's part, and if you're really struggling
 then just leave out the soft notes (the ones in brackets)

 For the verses, Guitar II randomly and quietly picks around Cmaj7 along
 with Guitar I, using these chord shapes:

 I.       F (133211@1) G (320003@1) Cmaj7 (x32000@1)name="chord_022100@1">E  Am (x02210@1) II. e||----------------------||
     B||--8---8---8-----8--8--||
     G||--9---9---9-----9--9--||
     D||----------10-------7--||
     A||--8---10--------7-----||
     E||----------------------||

 And Guitar I plays the chords at the top of this tab along with the song
 as I've tried to show here!:

 F (133211@1) G (320003@1) ..............If you want to be my friend,

 Cmaj7 (x32000@1) Em (022000@1) ..............and you want us to get along,

 F (133211@1) G (320003@1) ..............Please do not expect me to

 Cmaj7 (x32000@1) Em (022000@1) ..............wrap it up and keep it there,

 F (133211@1)                     G (320003@1) ..............The observation I am doing could

 Cmaj7 (x32000@1)                 Em (022000@1) ..............easily be understood,

 F (133211@1)              G (320003@1) ..............As cynical demeanour,

 Cmaj7 (x32000@1) Em (022000@1) ..............but one of us misread.

 F (133211@1)    G (320003@1)                Cmaj7 (x32000@1)     Em (022000@1) ..............What do you know, it happened

  F (133211@1)       G (320003@1)      Am (x02210@1)        Cmaj7 (x32000@1) again.....................................

 Repeat all that for the second verse, except when it comes to
 this part, where you play something different:

 G (320003@1)                       Cmaj7 (x32000@1)     Em (022000@1) ..............What do you know, it happened

  F (133211@1)       G (320003@1)      Cmaj7 (x32000@1)       D (xx0232@1) again.....................................

 After this you play the first part of the intro again, but before you
 get to the sweep picking for Guitar II, you go back into the third verse,
 which is the same as the first, except when you come to this part, which
 is played differently again!:

 G (320003@1)                       Am (x02210@1)        Cmaj7 (x32000@1)F (133211@1)     G (320003@1)    Am (x02210@1)   Cmaj7 (x32000@1) ..............what do you know, it happened again,......................

 Then just play the sweep picking part of the intro again twice, except
 on the last time, don't change to Cmaj7, and just end on the Am, with
 Guitar II playing this:

      Am (x02210@1)                                        Am/E (x02210@1)       Am (x02210@1)e||---------------------------------------12---------------------------------||
 B||---------------------------------12-------12-----------12---------12-12---||
 G||-------12-------12----(12)---(12)--(12)------12----(12)------(12)---------||
D||---(14)------14---(14)-----14------------------(14)------(14)--------------||
A||-14------(14)--------------------------------------------------------------||
E||---------------------------------------------------------------------------||

 I hope that isn't all too badly described! Play along with the song and it should
 become fairly obvious how it all works.

 Hope you enjoy playing along, it's such a great song from a really awesome band!
