this is an amaaaazing song--u just gotta love it. i already knew how to play the
basic chords, but foolin around i got all the riffs figured out (plus the reed
parts) on my own. matchbox 20 two guitarists, so naturally this is for two
guitars. so along with the riffs i have the chords for the rhythm guitarist. you
can pick if u want to pick it, play chords, or mix em both. =) questions/comments

D C D C G

G G D C D C

G G D C D C
at least not to the point that we would think so

CHORUS:

G A D G
everyone here knows everyone here is thinkin bout somebody else
G A Bm A G Bm A G
well it's best if we all keep this under our heads
G A D G
i couldn't tell, if anyone here was feeling the way i do
              (Riff 4a)
G G
but i'm lonely now, and i don't know how
              (Riff 1) (Riff 1)
               D C D C D C D C
to get it back to good

VERSE 2:
(Riff 1)
D C D C
this don't mean that, you own me well,
(Riff 1) (Riff 2)
D C D C G

G G D C D C
but things worked out just like you wanted to
(Riff 1)
D C D C
if you see me out you don't know me

D C D C G
try to turn your head, try to give me some room
(Riff 2) (Riff 1)
G G D C D C
to figure out just what i'm gonna do

CHORUS:

G A D G
cuz everyone here hates everyone here for doin just like they do
G A Bm A G Bm A G
and it's best if all keep this quiet instead
G A D G
i couldn't tell, why everyone here was doin me like they do
             (Riff 4a)
G G
but i'm sorry now, and i don't know how
             (Riff 1) (Riff 1)

CHORUS:
G A D G
everyone here is wondering what it's like to be with somebody else
                       G A
and everyone here's to blame, everyone here
                      D G
gets caught up in the pleasure of the pain
                       G A
yea well everyone here hides shades of shame
        D G
yea but lookin inside we're the same, we're the same
G G A D
and we're all grown now, but we don't know how
         (Riff 1) (Riff 1)
G D C D C D C
to get it back to good

CHORUS:

G A D G
everyone here knows everyone here is thinkin bout somebody else
G A Bm A G Bm A G
well it's best if we all keep this under our heads, hell our heads yea
G A D G
i couldn't tell, if anyone here was feeling the way i do
              (Riff 4a) (Riff 4b)
G G
but it's over now, and i don't know how
                                        (Riff 3)
G D C
yes it's over now there's no getting back to good
