This is interpreted from Matt's performance in Nanaimo in 2006.
If you don't quite understand the minor changes I'd suggest looking it up just so
you can hear and see how to do it. I didn't include number of repetitions in
intros and whatnot, this is just a guide.
In the Demo there are alot more hammer ons in the bottom 3 strings (specifically
b) so play around with it until your satisfied.
Tuning: Half Step down
Capo on the third fret

Chords:
C (x32010)
Cmaj9 (020010)
Am (x02210)
G (320013)
Cadd11 (x33010)
G (320033)
Gsus2 (300233)

*Every time Am is played in the verses/intro/outro hammer on the b string*

Intro: C Cmaj7 Am G*
*C lead in* close to the end of each G remove top two fingers and play a string on the
3rd fret then open, one strum each, just as a lead in back to C. 0*3*0013 00*0*013 the
stars are around the notes focused on.

Verse:
     C Cmaj7 Am G
The Saudis are ever our friends and our allies
    C Cmaj7 Am G
The President smokes cigars with their Princes on his lanai
      C Cmaj7 Am
And across the street a mother sleeps with her baby's ghost
G C Cmaj7 Am G*
Wrapped in pink and spotlights

C Cmaj7 Am G
If I was a tidal wave well you know that Id
     C Cmaj7 Am G
Rise up and crash your castle gate and leave you high and dry
C Cmaj7 Am G
Disappear you down this trail of busted years to ride the rails
     C Cmaj7 Am G
 and goodbyes

Chorus:
    Am C G
Well my name is propaganda
       Am C G
And my mamas pain is propaganda
C G Am
If I was a tidal wave
    C G Cadd11
Id let the Union fall
   C G Am
Ya if I was a tidal wave
      C G Cadd11*(hammer B)C*(hammer
B) G Gsus2
Id be first against the wall

Cadd11* C* G Gsus2 (incorporate C lead in)
C Cmaj7 Am G*

2nd Verse: same as first
Back in 1980 Mayor Young he sent the key
To the city of Detroit to praise the best of enemies
Who shook hands with devil, now he runs the DOD
And spends lives

If I was a tidal wave well you know that Id
Rise up and crash your castle gate and leave you high and dry
Disappear you down this trail of busted years to ride the rails and goodbyes

Chorus:
C G Am
If I was a tidal wave
      C G Cadd11
From coast to coast Id scream
C G Am
If I was a tidal wave
   C G Cadd11*(hammer B)C*(hammer

Id wash this whole place clean

Cadd11* C* Gmaj Gsus2 (in demo this is the "ooooh" part)
