Song: So What?
Artist: Miles Davis
Album: Kind of Blue
Bassist: Paul Chambers
Tabber: Sak (e-mail: mud__flaps@hotmail.com)

Notes:

1. This is the tab for playing this song on the Bass Guitar. Upright Bassists should not use this tab.

2. The ending on the record is a fade-out (I believe). The ending here is what I believe is the wisest choice if you're not fading out (ending on the I chord is usually the way to go).

So What? is probably the most recognized bass-line of the late and great Paul Chambers. Chambers was the second hero of the bass, arriving on the jazz scene shortly after Charles Mingus. This bass- line is especially important to Upright Bassists even today, and should be studied by all bassists who have profound interest in their instrument. The song is what is arguably the most essential jazz album ever, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.
