This is my own personal arrangement. I got it by slightly simplifying the
piano sheet music, and putting it in a better key (G). Note that my version
also doesn't modulate a half-step up at the end. (Do _you_ want to play in
A flat?)

THE RAINBOW CONNECTION

(As sung by Kermit the Frog on The Muppet Movie Soundtrack.)
This is a simplified version in a nice acoustic key, D.
It's really in A or B, I'm not sure which.
All of the chords move 1 half step up at the key change, but I
left the end of the song in the same key to keep it simple.
(You may just want to slide up your capo at that point...)

D            F#m
Why are there so many
G           A
Songs about rainbows
D            F#m
And what's on the other side
G           A
Rainbows are visions
D            F#m
And only illusions
G           A
And rainbows have nothing to hide

Bm
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
A
I know they're wrong, wait and see!
G               A
Someday we'll find it
A               B7
The rainbow connection
G               A             D
The lovers, the dreamers, and me!

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
Look what it's done so far!

What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me!

A          D         A
All of us under it's spell
    G              D       A   (KEY CHANGE  A -> Bb)
We know that it's probably magic!

Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name!
Is it the sweet sound
That calls the young sailors
The voice might be one and the same.

I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be!
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me!

A          D        A
La da da dee da da dew
G           A        D
Da da da da dee da da dew

Here is a correction for rainbow_connection by the muppets. This song was
first uploaded by howell@cae.wisc.edu. The chords and lyrics are right, but
here are the changes to make it the correct key:

Change all of the D's to A's (D = A)
F#m = C#m
G = D
A = E
Bm = F#m
B7 = F#7
