Float On
Modest Mouse

Tabed By - Chris Bartley

Im 100% sure that this is right, I played it with the record
and it sounds correct.

How I did this was first I figured out the little riff that they
play through the whole song. When i got that down I knew that the
first note of the riff was A# and the was also the first chord of
the song. But this was not the whole bar chord of an A# there only
playing three strings here. Then another note in the song was F,
and i figured out that if you just lift your one finger it right
this is not a difficult song it all, so here it is.

x- This means play the notes dead

    A# F
e--6-------- e---6-------|
B--7-------- B---6-------|
G--6-------- G---6-------|
D----------- D-----------|
A----------- A-----------|
E----------- E-----------|

Those are the two chords there
the srtum is alittle weird but
you have to figure it out from
the song

Intro
Guitar One

e--6-6--xxx--6-6-6----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------------------------|
B--7-7--xxx--7-7-7----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------------------------|
G--6-6--xxx--6-6-6----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------------------------|
D-------------------------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------------------------|

Guitar Two

e-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B-----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11------|
G--11----------13----------------10----------13---------------------|
D-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------------------------------|

e-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11---11-11-11-11-11-11-----------------|
G-10----------13------------------------------------13-11-----------|
D-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Verse One

Here is the same strum and everything as the intro

Guitar One
e--6-6--xxx--6-6-6----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------|
B--7-7--xxx--7-7-7----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------|
G--6-6--xxx--6-6-6----6-6--xxx--6-6-6-------|
D-------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------|

Then at the end of the first verse you do the riff above

Guitar Two
e-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B-----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11------|
G--11----------13----------------10----------13---------------------|
D-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------------------------------|

e-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B----11-14-11----11-11-11-11-11---11-11-11-11-11-11-----------------|
G-10----------13------------------------------------13-11-----------|
D-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Then after that when he says "And we'll all float on ok"
Use the chords but play them in arpeggio's. You cant hear
it very well in the song but he does it.

e------6-------6-------6-------6---------------------------|
B----7---7---7---7---6---6---6---6-------------------------|
G--6-------6-------6-------6-------6-----------------------|
D----------------------------------------------------------|
A----------------------------------------------------------|
E----------------------------------------------------------|
Do that until that parts over

Do the same thing as verse one as you do for verse two and the rest
of the song and thats it
