Okay, I'm sure you have all listened to "that song from Great
Expectations" but it should be regarded as more than just that so
basically I've transcribed it to get people to know it and because no one
else seem to know how to play it since it's not the normal kind of song
you'd play on guitar - it hardly has any - but who cares? A great song
can be found anywhere and here goes one! :)

Verse 1

     Em Am
The stranger sang a theme
     B Em
From someone else's dream
     Em E(1) E (2 fr.) Csus4
And the leaves began to fall
     D G
And no one spoke at all
     C Am
But I can't seem to recall
     B
When you came along

Chorus

Em Am D G
Ingenue
C Am
Ingenue
B
I just don't know what to do

Verse 2

     Em Am
The tree lined avenue
     B Em
Begins to fade from view
Em Em(1) Em(2) Csus4
Drowning past regrets
     D G
In tea and cigarettes
     C Am
But I can't seem to forget
    B
When you came along

Chorus

Em Am D G
Ingenue
C Am
Ingunue
B
I just don't know what to do.

             Em(1) Em(2) Csus4
e ------0---------------0--------------0------------|
B -------0---------------0--------------3------------|
G -------0---------------0--------------0------------|
D -------1---------------0--------------0------------|
A -------2---------------2--------------3------------|
E -------0---------------0---------------------------|

Send comments, junk mail, threats or whatever to the email addy above. No
corrections though, i'm almost sure the song is okay in most parts. And
that's all, see Portishead files for more.
