E:-----------------------------------

Verse:
For the verse, you can either have Guitar B play open chords, and then play
riff #2a, which is pretty easy if you're playing open chords, and have guitar A
play backing power chords. Or, you can have both A & B play power chords, and
have B play riff #2b. (You can almost make this sound right w/ just one guitar
if you play the open chords and the 1st version of the riff.)

riff #2a: riff #2b:
e:-0-------------- e:----------------
B:---3-0---------- B:----------------
G:-------2b3-0---- G:-9-7------------
D:-------------2-- or D:-----9-7b8------
A:---------------- A:-----------10-7-
E:---------------- E:----------------

(here, E is a low E chord, e is a high E)

G5 A5 E5 riff #2
Five lovely lessons learned today
G5 A5 e5
Coating my throat with the dust of a new day
G5 A5 E5 riff #2
As the saints pray their lonely way
G5 A5 e5 D5 e5 e5 D5 e5
And their deadweight lays the passion to waste

G5 A5 E5 riff #2
Maybe if I sew my heart on my sleeve
G5 A5 e5
They'll drop the bomb on me and I'll wake up
G5 A5 E5
I can only fix so much in my sleep
G5 A5 e5 D5 e5 e5 D5 e5
I can only drink so much from this empty cup

Chorus:
B5 B5 C5 D5
I know I must not think bad thoughts
B5 B5 C5 D5
I'm always beaten to the punch
B5 B5 C5 D5
I'm holding aces high and low
B5 B5 C5 D5 e5 D5 e5 e5 D5 e5
And in between I'm trying to break my fall

Then, play the intro bit, starting w/ intro riff#1.
Then, the verse again:

Verse:
Give me a piece of what you've got
I'll make it new with much less thought
It's symbolic and full of trash
Lofty endearments whispered under your breath

Five lessons remembered from yesterday
Easing my mind and seizing each new day
Beyond and back and I'm still the same
Kicked over some old trash but I still waste

End w/.....

e5 D5 e5
yeah I still waste
e5 D5 e5
I still waste

And so on....
Have fun.
