Intro:
I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. If you don't believe
drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight, take all your
albums, all your tapes, all your cds, and burn them. Cuz you know what? The
musicians who've made all that great music thats enhanced your lives throughout the
years; rrrrrrrrrrreal ***in high on drugs. (insert synth) The intro on guitar is
done by using a slide, and a distorted sound. Its all random noises until about 8
bars before the first verse (about 2 minutes or so). Then, it goes like this:
2:13

A|---/20/////*over neck pickup*\\\15///17--------|
D|---/20/////*over neck pickup*\\\15///17--------|

second time hold the 17 and then put the slide over the neck pickup on the high e
string and slide it down. then get rid of the slide

After the 19, go nuts... it's all improv anyways... the idea is to slowly work your
way down to open. at which point, after a bit more improv, it goes: (he plays it
live so its good enough for me)

this is the part with the choppy guitar, and a heavily distorted instrument under
the guitar. This instrument is actually the bass again (Justin has an amazing
distortion pedal...)

live Adam plays this part ^^^^ by sliding with the bass

This next part is interesting, and believe it or not, but if you don't have a guitar
with a stop tail/tune-o-matic bridge like a Les Paul, you can't play it correctly.
It's played by picking behind the strings behind the bridge while fretting certain
notes. You will see this again later in the song. Don't worry, you can get somewhat
close to the same sound by using a clean sound with lots of treble, lots of reverb
and a little delay.

Well there you have it. If you need help understanding what I have here, listen to
the live version off of Salival because the guitar is a lot easier to hear. On
?nima, there are several layers of slide and lead guitar, which can be heard
somewhat better than what he plays live at some places. It's a hell of a song so
keep at it til you get it. Expect it to take a bit to have it fully down.

Don't forget to bring a towel.
Could you believe they've played Disgustipated live?
