Sige Tab by 6 Cycle Mind Ok I think this tab is the easiest way to play the solo (Although the solo is not really that hard). READ AGAIN, I do not claim this tab as the most accurate tab but it does sound like the real thing. I suggest you get an overdrive sound instead of a distortion for the harmonics. Trust me, distortion doesn't have enough mid boost to cut through the harmonics. And besides, the lead guitarist of 6 CM uses an overdrive pedal. p = pull off h = hammer b = bend r = release / = Slide up \ = Slide down * = right thumb harmonics (I'll explain this to beginners, mga experts lam niyo na kung ano toh) e|----------------------------------------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------------------------------------| G|--5p0-0-7p0-0-9p0-0-10p0-0-9p0-7p0-7p0-0-9p0-0-10h12p0-12p0-0-10p0-9--| D|----------------------------------------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------------------------------------| e|----------------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------13-15/17\15-15--| G|--9-10-12-9-10-12-9-10-12-9-10-12-12*b14r12-/14-----------------| D|----------------------------------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------------------------------| e|-----------12-15-12----------------12-15-12----------------12-17-12----------------12-17-12--------| B|--------15----------15----------15----------15----------15----------15----------15----------15-----| G|-----14----------------14----14----------------14----14----------------14----14----------------14--| D|--12----------------------12----------------------12----------------------12-----------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| e|-----------12-15-12------------------------------------------------| B|--------15----------15-13-15b17r15-15-13-15-15~--------------------| G|-----14-----------------------------------------/12----------------| D|--12------------------------------------------------12-10----12*~--| A|----------------------------------------------------------12-------| E|-------------------------------------------------------------------| * - Its quite tricky to do this. Some old folks call this technique as pinapaiyak yung gitara (Making the guitar cry/wail). This is extremely effective if you have a single coil pickup (Guitar with humbuckers should activate the switch the treble/single coil mode). A good example of a guitar with single coil pickup is a stratocaster. The pickup is usually thin while a humbucker is usually thick and has a switch. To do the harmonics, immediately after picking the note, your thumb should have arrived somewhere near the string and above the pickup nearest to the neck. It really takes time to practice but it pays off to learn this. This is usually effective with overdrive effects and mid boosted equalizer. Steve Vai uses this technique most of the time.
