If you listen to the song they're rather prominent. All you've got to do is unfret that specific string (for C and A it's the D string and for G it's the A string) and hammer back on in eighth notes. Another thing, during the verses there's this little chromatic line that moves up a fret from the G chord to the G# note, then rests on Am. All you have to do is move your finger up the E string from fret 3 to fret 4 on beats 1 and 3 before making the switch.
