Subject: tab to Allman Brothers Band -Pony Boy

"Pony Boy" by the Allman Brothers Band
from the album "Brothers and Sisters"

This song is in open E tuning and I believe
the right hand part is fingerpicked while the
the left hand is a combination of open string
notes, slide guitar and harmonics. You will
have to listen to the recording to figure it
out. Here is the tab to the basic parts
of the song and the rest is up to you as they
say. My apologies for any errors and if anyone
has any corrections please email me at
	         dmeta@quadro.net
This is just a barebones tab as it is hard to
notate all the slide pulloffs, hammerons, etc.
but it should give you a general idea to what's
	happening.

a few hints. Call and answer licks are
on the E chord centered around 3rd and
                   twelfth fret.

	Verse 3:
Look out the door beside that tree
That's my pony lookin' after me

If you don't have the Allman Brothers "Brothers
and Sisters" with this song on it, go
and buy it, you'll be glad you did.
Arlen Roth's book "Traditional, Country and Electric
Slide Guitar" published by Oak is a good
instruction book for this style of playing.
