The original riff (or main theme) shifts between C and Csus4, but it's difficult to play
in standard tuning, and it can't really be expressed with chords.
So I'll recommend an alternative strumming pattern for the riff:

    C /A /G
e|-------------------|
B|------1-----1------|
G|------0-----0------|
D|----2-----2-----2--|
A|--3-----0----------|
E|--------------3----|

If you want to play the original riff, you can use a capo on the third fret and
transpose the chords (Beck plays the c-note an octave lower, though):

    Cadd4 /A /G
g |-------------------|
D |-------------------|
Bb|-------------------|
F |------0-----0------|
C |----4-----4-----4--|
G |--5-----2-----0----|
