Most Precarious
Blues Traveler

I used to play this song with the GAD progression, but from the first time I played along
with the song, I knew it wasn't correct. This song is played with power chords. I have
used the other version of this song's tab as a template to create this one, so thank you,
RHODG8888@aol.com. Aside from a couple of possible typos, this should be 100% correct.

Chords:

   A5 B5 E5 Em Ab5 C#5
E X X X 0 X X
B X X X 0 X X
G X X X 0 X X
D 7 9 14 2 6 11
A 7 9 14 2 6 11
E 5 7 12 0 4 9

Of course, you can always play E5 as [X 7 9 9 X X], but it sounds as if Chan slides
from A5 to B5 to E5 rather than skip to the A string to play the E5.

Intro: A5 B5 E5 (3 times) then A5 B5 Em (once)

Verse 1:
                    A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
Don't you give up. Don't allow disaster.
                    A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
Don't you give up. Don't you let her win.
                A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
We're talking about a forever after.
                    A5 B5 Em
Don't you give up. Don't you dare give in.
                    A5 B5 E5
Don't you give up. Don't you dare give in.

Chorus 1:
           A5 B5 E5
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
           A5 B5 E5
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take?
           A5 B5 E5
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
            A5 B5 Em
Why does it feel like a big mistake?

Second Verse:
            A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
Please understand and hear what I'm saying.
            A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
The time is now and we don't have long.
             A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
She could be oceans away tomorrow.
             A5 B5 Em
So soon your chance will have come and gone.
             A5 B5 E5
So soon your chance will have come and gone.

Chorus 1

Verse 3:
                A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
The tight-wires strung and you're out in the middle.
           A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
All eyes upon you no net below.
          A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
Inches to go and you're almost home free.
               A5 B5 Em
Feel the wires swaying to and fro.
               A5 B5 E5
Feel the wires swaying to and fro.

Chorus 2 (First 3 lines same as Chorus 1):
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take?
Doesn't it seem most precarious?
            A5 B5 C#5 B5
Why does it feel like it would be a damn shame?
            Ab5 E5
Would be forever if it meant a day.
              A5 B5
How stoically I exclaim
       A5 Ab5
As she turns from me and walks away.

Here is where the harmonica solo starts. The intro pattern is repeated 3 times during
this solo (A5 B5 E5 3 times, then A5 B5 Em once). There is one part near the end of the
solo where the pattern is A5 B5 E5 E5--where the E5 chord is repeted for emphasis. This
occurs on the third A5 B5 E5 just before doing the A5 B5 Em.

Verse 4:
                 A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
The light in her eyes explanation escapes you.
           A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
Longing to please and not feel alone.
                A5 B5 E5 A5 B5 E5
And she doesn't know it but really she loves you.
            A5 B5 Em
Some day so soon you're gonna make it home.
            A5 B5 E5
Some day so soon you're gonna make it home.

Chorus 1 (Repeat once)
