This is a local band from Mississippi.  I heard them live and they were amazing, so I bought their demo.  I think they just lost their lead singer though, so they are looking for a replacement.  Their website is www.burningnovember.com (may be down).
There are a lot of octaves going on throughout the whole song, and the intro is also played in the background of the verses.
