• Song:

    End Of The Movie

  • Artist:

    CAKE

Tabbed out for you uncaring people by: MBell

NOTE: These tabs are for education purposes only

This song is actually not as hard as it seems.
It's pretty basic fingerpicking. There are just 4 patterns repeated through
the entire song. I can't explain the technique much better than this.
You simply roll your hand, plucking each string as needed. I've labeled
the fingers like this:
T->Thumb
1->index finger
2->middle finger
3->ring finger
Note: I did not label the pinky, so just don't use it.

GPattern (320003@1)          D7Pattern (xx0212@1)         Em7 Pattern         CPattern (x32010@1)e----------------   e----2--------2--   e----3--------3--   e-3--3--------3-|

The order of these patterns is:

G(x3) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2)

G(x3) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2)

Then quickly play and mute this chord:
e-3-
B-3-
G-0-
D-0-
A-2-
E-3-

Then there is a pause and a keyboard solo that I have little enough of a
life to also tab out for you, my ungreatful moocher. My guitar is a piece
of crap, but if you have enough frets try moving every note in this
keyboard solo up 12 frets. I think it sounds better.

e------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B--8-7-----------------------------8-7-----------------------------------|

A------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E------------------------------------------------------------------------|

D-------------------------------------------|
A-------------------------------------------|
E-------------------------------------------|

e--7(
B--8-7-----------------------------8-7-----------------------------------|
G------9-7-9-7---7-9-7---7-9-7---7-----9-7-9-7-------7-------7-----------|
D--------------9-------9-------9---------------9-7-9---9-7-9---9-7-9-----|
A------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Meanwhile the other guitar continues during this solo with the patterns:
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2)

Then, the solo ends and the guitar goes back to:
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) Em7(x2) C(x2)
G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2) G(x2) D7(x2)

Then quickly play and mute this chord, again:
e-3-
B-3-
G-0-
D-0-
A-2-
E-3-

Now the song abruptly is over.........MBell
