Doves - Caught By The River

Standard tuning

Rhythmn:
Your basic rhythmn guitar pattern goes like this:

 (on acoustic)

G# F# C# G#
Son, what have you done, your caught by the river, and coming undone

 its the same...

G# F#
Would you give it all away, would you give it all away, dont let it
      C# G#
come apart, dont wanna see you come apart.

Lead Parts:
Loads and loads of little guitar bits in this song, below are the most important bits, the rest you can probably work out by listening as theyre simple enough.

to get your lead guitar sounding right i suggest absolutley loads of reverb and some delay on top of a nice clean, creamy sound. Then youre ready to go.

in the second chorus (around 1:50)

give it all away, give it all away, dont let it come apart
e|----------------------------------------------------16------------
B|-----------13----------------11---------------------14------------
G|-----------13----------------10---------------------13------------
D|-----------13----------------11---------------------15-----------
A|------------------------------------------------------------------
E|------------------------------------------------------------------

dont wanna see you come apart
e|---------16-----------------------------------
B|---------14----------------11----------------
G|---------------------------13-----------------
D|---------------------------13-----------------
A|-----------------------------------------------
E|---------------------------------------------

then the jangly guitar bit that comes after:
i have a feeling that theres 2 guitars doing the part below but i'll tab it for one.

the basic chord shapes are this:

   G# F# C# G#
e|--4---------4----------4---------4-----
B|--4---------4----------6---------4-----
G|--5---------3----------6---------5-----
D|--6---------4--------------------6-----
A|--------------------------------------
E|---------------------------------------

but it aint as simple as that, there are some hammer-ons and and pull-offs:

   G#
e|--4----4---4----
B|--4----4---4----
G|--5h6------5----
D|--6--------6----
A|----------------
E|----------------
play the above part twice before the chord change to F#

   F# (just jangle this one)
e|--4----
B|--4----
G|--3----
D|--4----
A|-------
E|-------

then the change to C#
   C#
e|--4----4----4-----4----4-----4----4-----4------
B|--4h6--6----4h6---6----4h6---6----4h6---4------
G|--6---------6----------6----------6-----6----6-
D|-----------------------------------------------
A|-----------------------------------------------
E|-----------------------------------------------

then the change back to G#
   G#
e|-4---4----4----4---6p4----6p4----6p4----6p4----
B|-4---4----4----4-------4------4------4------4--
G|-5--------5h6----------------------------------
D|-6--------6------------------------------------
A|-----------------------------------------------
E|-----------------------------------------------

and thats the most important parts covered. for the above parts, its really useful to have delay or else they wont sound as good at all.
