This first one should get you onto the basic drumming.

Part 2 - Snare techniques

This part should get on to basic snare rolls and stuff like that.  Snare rolls can be used as a fill or during a Guitar riff.

Fisrt of all is the most basic roll

Next is a roll that can be used whenever you want during a solo or it could be the basis of a solo.

The paraldille is a way that you can get a different volume just by using a different hand. learn the below partern. play it over and over again to get it right.

another way to increase the volume is to hit the snare harder.  this is shown with a larger 'O'.

also you can hit the base drum to make it louder like this:
