Short bio of DZ Deathrays:
Two lads from Brisbane, Australia (Shane Parsons (vocals+guitar) & Simon
Ridley (drums)) decide to take a minimalistic approach to heavy-ish music.
The duo is based off 3 instruments: Vocals, Guitar and Drums making their
first few songs very simplistic. The vocals consist of shouting and screaming
(to an extent) and guitar often focuses on dirty low sounding riffs (like the
following song Gebbie Street which is almost low enough to sound good on
bass). The first thing relevant is though the band is a duo of 2 guys
(guitar, drums and vocals) there are aditions of other insturments (mainly
synths). This song has featured in many places, but if you are english you
most likely heard this song on a TV advert for Press 81 Premium Cider.


The following song is played on bass but is meant to be ideal for a bassist
to play along to without over-textualisation. Which does mean you can just
jam; however, this is not ideal as it would sound off as the song is made for
a guitarist and drummer only.
