The song follows a variation of these chords:

Em - A - (D - C#/D) - Bm

Note for beginners: The C#/D is simply the D chord with the root note taken down half a
step (one fret).
So for a bar chord simply slide down one fret on the A string.
Open chord D will require a pinky/ring finger on the 4th fret of the A string.
Muting the D string will give best results, or you can just add 4th fret d string as well.

This can be played as bar chords or open chords. However to get the similar sound it can
be played with the "chords" below.

Em A D C#/D Bm
10 4 9 9 5
12 5 10 9 7

I must stress that you don't have to stick to this, add your own notes in and it will
sound great

example:

Em
x
x
x
12
10
12

etc etc, mix it up, make it your own.

basic tab of how to play:

e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------10-------------10--------4-------4---------9--------9-------5-------5---|
E|-12-12----12-12-12-12----12-5-5---5-5-5---5-10-10---10-9-9---9-7-7---7-7-7---7-|

Repeat throughout entire song. Simple chords for a simple song for a simple love.

Lyrics:

This is a song for my simplest love
A simple song for a simplest love
Her eyes are green, her hair is brown
This is a song for my simplest love

A constant song for a constant love
No difficult chords, easy to play
A simple song for a simplest love
Her eyes are green, her hair is brown
