Govt Mule's Cover of Opium (moe.)
Tabbed by Jim Tackett
Live at Mountain Jam 6/8/13
Couldn't find anything on this for myself so I decided
to post for anyone else that wanted to learn it.
I saw a pretty close intro posted here, and maybe that's how moe does it,
but I'm tabbing it the way Warren Haynes did it.

Intro Lick
E |--------------------------|
B |--------------------------|
G|---------------------------|
D |---------0--3p0-----------|
A |----1h2----------1--------|
E |---------------------3----|

*I recommend landing that G root at the end of the intro lick with your ring finger.
It sets you up for that G7sus2 chord.

I know the Intro Lick repeats through the whole tune. But I'm just calling it intro lick
for the sake of reference.

VERSE

G7sus2 (intro lick)
Give me some fire, and a piece of glass

G7sus2 (intro lick)
 Hear that train, floatin' past

G7sus2 (intro lick)
On feathered tracks, with helium wheels

G7sus2 (walk down bars, G,F#,F)
Got no coal, got no steel

CHORUS

F C G (walk down bars, G, F, to E)
Opium, won't you smile on my brain

E F C G (walk down bars, G,F#,F)
Flowers and fog, you've got me feeling no pain

F C G (walk down bars, G, F, to E)
 It's 8:00 AM not a quarter past 3

E F C G (intro lick x2 back into the second verse)
Flowers and fog wont you rescue me

That's pretty much it. They really jam it out with some lead work by Warren and some
sax by Bill Evans. It just stays in G7sus2 through the lead parts, with some nice runs on the bass
and keyboard but always keeping that G7sus2 home base. Enjoy
